As many of you will know, the Simon Community have been visiting St Giles at lunch time for many years now on a Saturday and Sunday to distribute food and support to rough sleepers and others.
They have recently decided to end the Saturday visit, partly because fewer clients seem to need it then and partly because they cannot get drivers. This means that the Quaker library van will now come on Sundays as well. The ‘librarians’ tell me that they are always glad to receive books especially about history, politics, current affairs and religion.
If you have any that we can donate, please bring some along one day, but please, do NOT bring all the cast offs from your book shelves! I will vet them!!
