This year's Lent Course starts on Sunday 18th February after the morning service. We will be exploring the Book of Common Prayer and seeking a deeper understanding of why we pray in the way that we do.
The course will introduce the historical and theological issues that inspired the BCP's creation; examine the different sections of the Prayer Book and the distinctive forms of prayer they contain, and consider why the Book of Common Prayer has become such an enduring part of our shared Christian culture.
Each session will take place at 12pm in the Vestry House and will last an hour. A light lunch will be served. No prior reading is required (!) and you will be welcome to join us for as many sessions as you can. The course will run every week until Easter, except 17 March. Contact Wil to find out more.
