"I Believe..." : Exploring the Nicene Creed


2025 marks the 1700th anniversary of the Nicene Creed. Join our friendly and informal discussion group on Sundays in Lent as we explore this summary of key Christian beliefs. A light lunch will be served. We'll be using a workbook by Richard Steel and published this year by Grove Books, which will be available to buy in advance. How did the Nicene Creed develop? Sunday 16th March 12.15pm-1.15pm - I beleive in one God, the Father, the Almighty We explore the opening, foundational words of the Creed Sunday 23rd March 12.15pm-1.15pm - And in one Lord, Jesus Christ Explaining the uniqueness of the only Son of God Sunday 30th March 12.15pm-1.15pm - Who for us and for our salvation, came down from heaven Exploring the birth, death, resurrection and ascension of jesus Sunday 6th April 12.15pm-1.15pm - And I believe in the Holy Ghost Exploring God as Trinity - Father, Son and holy Spirit Sunday 13th April 12.15pm-1.15pm - And I believe one catholic and apostolic Church The Church - what is it and what we hope for.
