Thursday's news of the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II will be felt far and wide across our nation and the world. We give thanks for her reign and all that she did to ensure we were Godly and quietly governed.
Yesterday evening, we marked the start of the period of national mourning with a special service of Choral Evensong. It was good to be able to share this time of remembrance and thanksgiving with so many of you.
For those who were unable to be there last night, you can listen to Tom's sermon by following this link.
Services to mark the Queen's death will continue at St Giles tomorrow, Sunday 11 September, with a Requiem Holy Communion at 11am and Sung Evensong at 6.30pm.
A Book of Remembrance has been opened in the church, to which you are invited to contribute. The church will be open throughout the week for anyone seeking a moment of reflection and prayer.
